The Role:
The Solution Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and scaling a team of Solutions Engineers who support prospects and customers through technical discovery, proof-of-concepts, and successful implementation of Apryse's technology (SDKs). This role is focused on enabling team performance, building operational efficiency, and aligning closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure customers realize value quickly.
This position sits on the leadership track, bridging hands-on technical work with team management. The ideal candidate is a player-coach who has demonstrated the ability to support complex pre-sales engagements while fostering the growth and success of technical team members in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must already be based in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
  • Manage a team of Solutions Engineers, overseeing performance, development, and day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and provide coaching, mentorship, and career pathing support.
  • Ensure team members have clear goals and are aligned with business priorities.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new Solutions Engineers to scale the team effectively.

Operational Management
  • Support the implementation and consistent application of defined team workflows for technical discovery, demos, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and evaluation support.
  • Align SE coverage with sales priorities and ensure workload distribution is balanced across the team.
  • Track and support key performance indicators (KPIs) ensuring team alignment and continuous improvement
  • Identify execution gaps and contribute feedback or improvements that enhance team efficiency and align with globally defined processes.
  • Facilitate internal knowledge sharing and maintain up-to-date technical resources and documentation.
  • Provide regular feedback to leadership on team capacity, regional challenges, and workflow effectiveness

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with Sales leadership to support opportunity management and escalation handling.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to communicate customer feedback, feature gaps, and roadmap needs.
  • Represent the SE team in cross-departmental meetings, aligning technical pre-sales with broader go-to-market strategy.
  • Participate in key customer meetings as a technical leader, helping build trust and drive engagement.

Technical Enablement & Support
  • Guide team members on complex technical issues or escalations, offering support in solution design and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Apryse's products and ensure the team is up to date on the latest capabilities.
  • Ensure SEs are equipped to deliver demos, build POCs, and answer technical questions effectively during sales cycles.
  • Monitor the internal SE request queue to ensure timely coverage of sales opportunities, taking ownership of unassigned or unanswered requests within their purview

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in solution engineering, pre-sales, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a team lead, mentoring, or formal management capacity.
  • Solid foundation in web technologies and modern development frameworks
  • Experience with SDKs or developer tools preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, delegate effectively, and keep a team focused on outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience using CRM or project management tools (Salesforce, Jira, Confluence).
