Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Software Quality Assurance Analyst to support the delivery of high-quality software in our core lottery systems. You will partner closely with internal SG technical teams to plan, execute, and validate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to delivering functionality to our lottery partners for testing.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that system features and enhancements meet business requirements, are production-ready, and align with quality standards. This role requires strong communication, analytical thinking, and a hands-on approach to testing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Duties / Key Accountabilities
• Serve as an individual contributor partnering with internal SG technical teams to plan, execute, and validate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for both new features/functionality and maintenance releases of core lottery systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and scripts based on business requirements and system specifications.
• Perform hands-on testing to validate functional behavior, confirm defect resolution, and ensure deliverables meet established acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with Site Team, Product Management, Engineering, and Project Teams to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, and quality standards.
• Track and report on test progress and outcomes, including pass/fail rates, defect counts, and root cause trends to help measure and improve overall quality results.
• Ensure full traceability of testing against requirements and assist in maintaining documentation for audit and regulatory compliance (e.g., NASPL guidelines).
• Identify, log, and retest defects; support defect triage efforts by providing clear documentation and reproducible steps.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts within UAT by identifying gaps or inefficiencies in test planning, execution, or validation cycles.
• Assist in validating both planned feature rollouts and system maintenance activities, ensuring business continuity and operational stability.
• Support internal stakeholders in understanding release readiness and ensuring quality deliverables through effective communication and testing documentation.
Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a QA Analyst, SQA Engineer, or UAT Tester in a software or systems integration environment.
• Strong understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodologies and defect lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in developing, executing, and maintaining manual test cases and test plans.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Solid knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile delivery frameworks.
• Experience validating new features, enhancements, and maintenance releases against business and technical requirements.
• Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills, with attention to edge cases and business rules.
• Clear and concise communication and documentation skills for defect reporting, test outcomes, and stakeholder updates.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, highly accountable environment.
