Role Overview:

As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead high-performing engineering teams to build scalable, cloud-native platforms that power seamless, data-driven payment experiences for businesses worldwide.
This role blends people leadership, full-stack engineering, and platform thinking, with a strong emphasis on operational and engineering excellence. You will drive innovation across modern architectures, data platforms, and reporting ecosystems while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The role will require you to:• Lead, mentor, and scale multiple engineering teams, fostering a culture of high performance, ownership, and continuous learning • Partner closely with product, business, and cross-functional stakeholders to solve real customer pain points and deliver impactful solutions • Drive end-to-end delivery of cloud-native, full-stack applications and microservices using modern frameworks and architectures • Champion engineering excellence through best practices in system design, coding standards, testing, and secure development • Establish and drive operational excellence, improving system reliability, availability, observability, and incident response • Lead initiatives around cloud migration from on-premise systems, ensuring scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency • Build and implement automation across the full stack, including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment workflows • Oversee BI and reporting platforms, ensuring scalable, high-performance, and business-aligned data solutions • Drive development of low-latency, high-scale applications, ensuring performance optimization and responsiveness • Promote adoption of containerized architectures and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka) • Manage hiring, coaching, and career development, building diverse, high-performing teams • Drive engineering productivity, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives across teams • Collaborate on architecture, scalability, and system design, ensuring robust and future-ready platforms
Required Experiences & Skills:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering• Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design) • Proven experience in building and leading high-performing engineering teams • Hands-on experience in full-stack development with technologies such as Java and Angular • Strong experience building cloud-native applications and leading cloud migration from on-premise environments • Experience designing and developing containerized applications • Solid experience with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka) • Proven ability to build and optimize low-latency, high-scale systems • Strong focus on performance improvements, scalability, and reliability • Experience working with BI tools/platforms, including designing canned reports in Power BI • Strong emphasis on operational excellence and engineering excellence • Experience driving automation across the full stack (build, test, deployment, monitoring) • Demonstrated ability to solve customer pain points with practical, scalable solutions • Strong sense of ownership and accountability in driving outcomes end-to-end • Deep understanding of modern software development practices, including microservices and APIs
Nice to have Experiences & Skills:• Experience in migrating reporting platforms and customers to Power BI from legacy BI/reporting tools • Exposure to or hands-on experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Generative AI technologies • Experience working with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) • Good understanding of WebFOCUS internals • Familiarity with Power BI internals and performance optimization
