As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Cash Management Technology team, you will promote the team's success by fostering a collaborative environment, influencing stakeholders, and communicating effectively across all levels.
Job Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of software engineers.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and career development opportunities for team members.
- Technical Strategy & Architecture:
- Set and execute the technical vision for Cash Management systems.
- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, resilient Java / Spring Boot applications.
- Ensure best practices in software engineering, architecture, and DevOps.
- Strategic Influence & Communication:
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and business impacts clearly and persuasively.
- Influence cross-functional teams and drive consensus on strategic initiatives.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of systems processing millions of transactions daily.
- Drive the extraction and delivery of business intelligence from real-time data streams.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, proactively addressing issues.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams, ideally in financial services or high-volume transaction environments.
- Strong technical background in Java and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience architecting and building scalable systems.
- Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction and influence others.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data streaming, business intelligence, and real-time analytics is highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, and modern DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with predictive algorithms and data science concepts.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive change.
