Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and inspire our engineering teams as we build and modernize world-class SaaS products. In this role, you will guide agile delivery teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions that drive our mission to redefine the way organizations are governed.
You will bring a strong technical background, hands-on development experience, and a proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams. You’ll foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement — including leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance productivity and product capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching engineers, driving technical strategy, and exploring modern technologies to solve complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead multiple agile software engineering teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and growth.
- Mentor and coach engineers at all levels, providing guidance on technical skills, career development, and performance.
- Drive a coaching culture focused on continuous learning, feedback, and innovation.
- Attract, hire, and onboard new talent; create an inclusive, high-performing team environment.
- Technical Strategy & Delivery
- Define and prioritize the technical roadmap in collaboration with Product Management and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the design, development, and delivery of scalable, maintainable, and well-tested SaaS features and services.
- Evaluate and approve architecture and design proposals, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices.
- Support quality assurance efforts through automated testing and DevOps practices.
- Innovation & AI Integration
- Champion the responsible use of AI and automation to improve development efficiency and product functionality.
- Collaborate with AI and data specialists to integrate models and APIs into production systems.
- Promote the use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, automated code review, anomaly detection).
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI trends to drive innovation and operational excellence.
- Stakeholder Management & Culture
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical strategy with business goals.
- Represent the engineering organization in company-wide initiatives and ensure effective communication across teams.
- Promote a culture of experimentation, transparency, and “fail-fast” learning.
Required Experience & Skills
- 10–15 years of overall experience in software engineering, with 6+ years in leadership roles managing end-to-end delivery teams.
- Proven experience building scalable enterprise or SaaS applications using modern technologies (e.g., .NET, Python, Node.js, React).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD, DevOps, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical use cases in software development.
- Hands-on experience with software architecture design, performance optimization, and distributed systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading agile teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to resolve technical issues and make data-driven decisions.
