DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects, including work allocation and oversight of project lifecycles. Ensure strategic alignment with organizational objectives. Ensure initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Collaborate with other functions to identify business requirements and challenges. Partner with senior leadership to deliver innovative solutions for complex problems, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Serve as the principal authority for application management and maintain responsibility for critical systems. Uphold organizational controls and ensure optimal application performance. Implement comprehensive risk management strategies, address business escalations, and ensure stability of mission-critical applications. Oversee system integration and decommissioning of legacy technology platforms. Lead recruitment, performance management, and development for team members. Manage budget, ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources to support priorities. Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for technology and business stakeholders, including senior leadership. Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to drive informed decision-making. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel to other JPMC offices for internal meetings and trainings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Manager of Software Engineering, Software Engineer, Application Developer, System Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires seven (7) years of experience with the following: Software development using C, C++, Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration Framework; Application management within financial services including cloud-native development. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders in global or multinational settings to deliver complex projects and initiatives; Using Unix, relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and Postgres, and middleware technologies including Kafka and MQ; Managing stakeholder relationships at various organizational levels, including senior leadership; Risk management and resolving business escalations; Resource allocation, budgeting, performance management, and recruitment of professional staff; Preparing and delivering presentations and reports for business audiences; Implementing operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness; Delivering presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Job Location: 575 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07310. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel to other JPMC offices for internal meetings and trainings.
