About the Role

Workday is used by millions of people around the world. We are looking for a leader who wants to make their experience as delightful and engaging as possible, while growing adoption of the mobile apps. In this role you will also be responsible for managing all the Workday’s Admin capabilities across Home & Search, helping make sure we are delivering tools that effectively support all our users wherever they interact with Workday. You will be a perfect fit if you are passionate about helping us create an excellent user experience, taking on new challenges, and innovating new features.

  • You will lead a talented and dedicated cross functional team dedicated to creating mobile experiences and admin experiences

  • You will inspire your teams, elevate them and bring them on the journey with you

  • You will create a fun, diverse and inclusive environment

  • You will promote innovation, and push the boundaries of our application usage, while delivering frequent and high-quality solutions to production

  • You will plan and deliver our mobile feature releases and work with teams to line up dependencies across our organization

  • You will plan and deliver on our Home & Search administrative experiences to ensure we are effectively delivering the tools that align with the product we are bringing to end users

  • You will be a great partner for our colleagues in QA, Product Management, Design, and product development teams

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience directly managing and leading software development engineering teams, fostering high-performing and engaged teams focused on delivering high-quality software.

  • 8+ years experience in software development engineering, including architecting, building, and scaling robust and efficient software systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject area, or equivalent practical experience

Other Qualifications

  • You have a proven track record to recruit, build, motivate and inspire a world-class team of developers

  • You have a growth mindset, are a constant learner and thrive in a learning culture

  • You have experience in mobile products, with a good current knowledge of the development and tooling ecosystem

  • You have a good knowledge of OO, design patterns, and modern frameworks, tooling, and libraries (ideally in the mobile domain)

  • You will ensure on-time and high quality delivery of projects

  • You will find creative solutions to workaround constraints and limitations


Workday Pay Transparency Statement 

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary CAN Base Pay Range: $132,000 - $198,000 CAD
