Title and Summary
Manager, Services Business Development
Mastercard Services is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. The Services Business Development team helps customers unlock growth opportunities by connecting business challenges with Mastercard's consulting, data, insights, and value-added capabilities.
The Services Business Development team partners with customers to identify opportunities and connect business needs with Mastercard's consulting, data, analytics, and technology-enabled capabilities. This role supports business development activities across Romania and Bulgaria, helping clients address business challenges, identify opportunities for growth, and maximize value from Mastercard Services solutions.
Role Responsibilities
• Support the growth of Mastercard Services across Romania and Bulgaria by identifying and developing business opportunities.• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.• Understand client priorities and business challenges to identify relevant Mastercard Services solutions.• Contribute to the development of client proposals, presentations, and commercial recommendations.• Leverage data, insights, and market trends to support client discussions and solution development.• Partner with cross-functional teams to bring the best of Mastercard's capabilities to clients.• Support sales opportunities from origination through execution.• Contribute to revenue growth through new and expanded client engagements.• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across multiple markets.• Maintain a strong understanding of Mastercard Services offerings and market developments.
All About You• Undergraduate degree required.• Experience in business development, consulting, sales, account management, partnerships, or another client-facing commercial role.• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage client interactions effectively.• Strong commercial mindset and interest in solving client business challenges.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to translate client needs into practical and actionable solutions.• Excellent communication and presentation skills.• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and matrixed environment.• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.• Fluency in Romanian and English is required. Additional language skills, particularly Bulgarian, are an advantage.
Additional Experience and Skills Desired
• Experience within payments, financial services, fintech, technology, professional services, or consulting environments.• Exposure to solution-based selling, client advisory, or commercial growth initiatives.• Experience working with data and insights to support business recommendations.• Experience supporting clients across multiple industries or markets.
