[What the role is]
As Finance Manager/Senior Manager, you are part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in the Finance Division of the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) Group.Reporting to the Assistant Director (Finance), your role includes Group reporting and business partnering, to support the various business units/divisions under the SDC Group.
[What you will be working on]
Key Responsibilities
1. Group Reporting and Analysis
Accountable for the delivery of the Annual Budgeting and Quarterly Forecasting, work closely with business unit leaders, users and finance counterparts to ensure robust planning and performance management.
Provide value-added analysis and advice on key business planning assumptions, trade-offs and opportunities to drive the financial aspects of business strategic plans, budgets, estimates and forecasts whilst ensuring alignment to business goals.
Monitor and review monthly financials in terms of achievements vs Budget/Forecast, comparative periods, highlighting risks and opportunities against Budget/Forecast delivery and recommend actions where needed.
Conduct risk assessments, evaluations and scenario planning to proactively anticipate and manage risks.
Drive and work with the finance business partners on projects to improve data analytics, streamline reporting processes for greater efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of quality reports to various stakeholders.
2. As a Business Partner, provide value-added advice and analysis to the divisions assigned, such as review of business plans / initiatives, forecasts, budgets, financial risk assessments, budgetary controls and other financial support to the assigned divisions.
3. Lead or assist in implementing process improvement projects in Workday or other finance systems to improve process efficiency or enhance internal controls or management reporting, such as budgeting tool and reporting dashboards.
4. Compile periodic / ad-hoc reports to ministries and other government bodies as required
5. Any other duties as assigned.
[What we are looking for]
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or CA equivalent
At least 10 years of relevant working experience
Meticulous with a strong analytical mind and ability to work under pressure to meet tight schedules
Excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of various stakeholders
Self-starter with a “sense-of-urgency” and "hands-on" approach
Strong data consolidation / analytical skills with advanced proficiency level in MS Excel and Powerpoint
Some working knowledge of Workday, RPA and AI will be an added advantage
Skills Required
