The Role

The Manager, Security Operations will lead the Information Security team focused on securing and supporting an organization centered around the financial industry. This person will manage SOC operations across Ren’s corporate and cloud environments, and drive innovation using modern technology and practices.

This role will also serve as a technical liaison for Ren Security when new technology or infrastructure is being deployed. This person will work with the Senior Director, Corporate IT Security to ensure new deployments meet current standards and that SOC operations support an evolving technology landscape.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Security Operations Center team with alert investigation and triage activities.
  • Work with compliance team to ensure compliance requirements are achieved.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities of information security team in keeping with published policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Create policies and procedures related to Security Operations Activities.
  • Partner with Senior leadership on project creation and implementation.
  • Collaborate on Security Operations vendor management and technology selection.
  • Driving the collaborative development of the technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices.
  • Leads a strategic cyber risk program that adapts to a rapidly changing threat landscape, changes in business strategies, risks, and vulnerabilities. Using situational awareness, threat intelligence, and building a security culture across the organization, the team helps to protect the Ren brand.
  • Areas of focus include:
    • Incident Response
    • Identity & Access Management
    • Data Protection
    • Cyber Design
    • Secure Configuration Implementation
    • Vulnerability Management
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security or related required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • A background in general security practices such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, multi-factor authentication, security information and event management (SIEM), and supporting technologies.
  • Superior communication (verbal and written), problem solving, collaboration, presentation, executive presence, and interpersonal skills.
  • CISSP, Security+, or related Cyber Security Certification.
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies and multi-cloud deployments.
  • Cloud Certifications a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in information security required.
