Your role at a glance
The Manager, Security Applications Engineering (m/f/d), provides leadership and operational oversight for physical security systems and applications across regional environments. This role will be responsible for managing teams, projects, vendors, budgets, compliance activities, incident escalations, and operational performance. The role ensures the effective delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of physical security services while enabling Security System Engineers to focus on technical design, implementation, and support. Success in this role requires experience managing physical security technologies, multi-site operations, stakeholder relationships, and security-related programs within enterprise or data center environments.What we are looking for
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading regional Physical Security Systems applications and personnel, ensuring effective delivery of security services and support across multiple sites
- Define team priorities, objectives, and performance expectations while managing staffing, resource planning, scheduling, and operational coverage
- Primary escalation point for operational issues and acts as the key liaison between Physical Security Systems and internal partner organizations
- Responsibilities include managing budgets, procurement activities, vendor relationships, and service performance while maintaining operational procedures, standards, and governance controls
- Coordinate audits, compliance activities, corrective actions, incident communications, escalations, and risk mitigation efforts
Knowledge & Attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Relevant professional certifications are preferred, such as Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Relevant physical security platform certifications (Alcatraz, C•CURE, Hexagon, WinGuard, Milestone, Traka, etc.)
- Several years of experience managing physical security applications, programs, or teams in enterprise or data center environments
- Proven leadership experience, including team management, coaching, and performance development
- Experience managing regional or multi-site physical security programs
- Strong project and program management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Experience managing budgets, procurement activities, and vendor relationships
- Knowledge of physical security technologies, including access control, CCTV, PSIM, and key management systems
- Familiarity with audit processes, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards
- Experience coordinating incident management, risk mitigation, and escalation activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing and implementing operational procedures, standards, and governance frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Presentation and reporting skills for leadership and executive audiences
