The Sales Training Manager (STM) is primarily responsible for the development, delivery, and management of highly effective sales training programs designed to ensure consistent selling excellence across multiple disease states and equip sales teams with the skills, tools and confidence to deliver impactful and compliant customer interactions.

 Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of all live and virtual training programs, including initial (new hire), launch, advanced and continuous training.
  • Elevate capabilities in areas such as selling skills, product knowledge, clinical understanding, call planning, and overall business acumen.
  • Engage in effective workshop delivery utilizing high-impact learning activities that adhere to adult learning principles.
  • Create scalable onboarding experiences that accelerate time-to-productivity.
  • Manage content lifecycle, including updates, approvals and ongoing optimization.
  • Integrate modern learning technologies and digital tools to enhance engagement and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory teams to ensure training content accurately reflects product information, market trends, compliance protocols, and/or customer demands.
  • Conduct ongoing training needs analysis, and in alignment with cross-functional partners (sales; marketing; market access; sales ops).
  • Identify skill or knowledge gaps and design of training programs to address learning needs effectively.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to align learning initiatives with revenue goals, growth priorities, and performance gaps.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of high performing experience in medical device and pharmaceutical sales strongly preferred.
  • Formalized experience in corporate sales training is required, with a preference for medical device training.
  • Experience with modern learning technologies, including AI generated training content.
  • Thorough understanding of medical device and pharmaceutical sales processes, industry regulations, and emerging trends.
  • Demonstrated adeptness in cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic, fast-based business environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • This position offers the option of either hybrid or remote-based, with some business travel to be expected for this role.
