This role sits within our APAC Leadership team. Our wider APAC Sales organisation serves as a strategic partner for our customers, helping them achieve a more secure digital future. By leveraging the full value of our product portfolio our Sales teams create relevant solutions to meet our customers needs and keep them secure.
About the role
This position reports to our Director, ANZ Sales and will lead a team of Account Executives and Renewal Account Managers across our entire Commercial portfolio in addition to the Enterprise teams in New Zealand and Western Australia. We are focused on creating regional intimacy and market presence to support deep, strategic relationships with customers before, during, and after the buying journey. To accomplish this we leverage a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences across the team to shape a winning culture and create the model for field sales excellence at Rapid7. Specifically, your focus will be to:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies in alignment with business objectives, monitoring regional market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Proactively look for new revenue generating opportunities
  • Lead, inspire, develop and manage an existing team of Account Executives and Renewal Account Managers
  • Work closely with new hires to develop mastery of the Rapid7 sales process, forecasting methodology, and product knowledge
  • Own renewal success for the Territories, managing Renewal Account Manager(s) to oversee and manage the renewal process for clients in our existing customer base.
  • Partner with the Go-to-Market leadership team as well as cross-functionally across other departments within Rapid7 to create the ultimate end-to-end customer experience.
  • Manage teams remotely, while also being willing to travel to meet with distributed teams throughout the region.
  • Close commercial, enterprise software deals leveraging internal and external partnerships.
  • Establish individual and team budgets, quotas, activity metrics, and forecasts to support company business objectives.
  • Foster a positive environment of collaboration and professional growth, acting in a regional leader capacity for internal initiatives and activities within the employee base.

The skills and qualities you'll bring include:
  • 8+ years of sales and high ARR growth experience
  • 5+ years of sales management and leadership experience, including building and developing management teams and cross-functional organizations
  • Superior track record of building dynamic, diverse teams across remote locations
  • Demonstrated success in an evangelical sales model disruptive to a traditional industry to define a new market evolution and customer needs
  • Direct SaaS sales background, with recurring subscription revenue models
  • Proven ability to position multiple product and technology solutions to solve business problems; experience in the Security, Cloud, or IT ecosystem beneficial
  • History of coaching and developing employees & leading through change
  • Strong experience in building out a Channel focus
