The Role

The  Manager of Revenue Planning will be responsible for driving the business performance and owning monthly top-line (GMV), bottom-line (GM), and traffic planning. This role will focus heavily on demand planning at both the business unit level and overall company level. It requires a blend of analytical
expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to optimize revenue growth and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue

Planning: Develop and maintain monthly revenue plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market trends. Analyze historical data and market conditions to inform projections. Work closely with BU function leads to align & close monthly plans.

  • Demand

Planning: Lead the demand planning process at the business unit level, collaborating with category managers to create accurate and actionable monthly GMV plan. Incorporate insights from sales trends, event calendars, and competitive information.

  • Traffic

Planning: Collaborate with the marketing team to strategize and implement traffic planning by source of traffic. Monitor website traffic trends and user behavior to optimize revenue per session.

  • Performance

Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of monthly GMV and GM performance, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Cross-Functional

Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, category, and finance teams to ensure cohesive planning and execution of revenue strategies. Foster strong relationships to align on priorities and initiatives.

  • Bottom

line Management: Oversee the GM planning for revenue, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across BUs. Monitor spending and ROI for pricing investments across pricing, marketing etc.

  • Market

Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Utilize insights to inform planning and identify growth opportunities.

  • Reporting:

Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and actionable insights. Ensure transparency in demand and revenue performance across all business units.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in revenue planning, demand planning, or strategic planning within the e-commerce or retail industry.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels.
