About This Role:
The Manager, Revenue Development leads a team of five to 10 revenue development representatives (RDRs) and account development representatives (ADRs) who are focused on identifying opportunities and securing initial appointments within named prospects across the North America region. The Manager, Revenue Development will institute a tightly defined process to ensure a consistent and unified approach to building the pipeline for new client acquisition and existing client growth.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional people leader who wants to build their career in sales development leadership, having at least a year of experience directly managing an SDR/BDR (sales development/business development) team.
Job Description:

Manages, leads, mentors, and trains a revenue development team, providing real-time, detailed guidance and feedback.

Works toward quarterly targets, delivering a high-quality and consistent growth pipeline to the broader sales organization.

Enables career development for individuals within the revenue development team.

Takes a disciplined approach to processes and operations through high levels of direct observation, inspection, and analytics to meet key metrics and performance indicators.

Works with the broader revenue development leadership team to identify opportunities for better process and/or structure to drive improved efficiency and work cross-functionally to implement.

Strategically partners with Forrester’s local sales teams to develop strong pipelines consistent with overall Forrester sales processes and specific prospect strategies.

Partners with marketing to ensure all inbound SLAs are achieved and inbound processes are effective.

Closely partners with the product and technology departments to maximize team’s effectiveness.

Maintains full fluency in Forrester’s suite of products and services and how they are sold to deliver value in the marketplace.
Job Requirements:

Proven first-line managerial experience.

In-depth understanding of the sales and business development landscape (latest techniques, tools, and measurements).

Sales fluency — understands what drives new business sales organizations and how sales organizations are measured.

Proven experience in managing and coaching metrics and KPIs.

Strong business acumen and professional demeanor.

Ability to effectively manage a team across markets.

Strong, high-level relationship skills; able to thrive in a team environment, interact with peers, and understand executive vision and internal ecosystem.

Exceptional attention to detail; strong discipline in processes and operations.

Experience in providing guidance and feedback to build high-performance culture.

The ability to absorb and grasp new concepts quickly (such as rapid advancements in the business technology industry)
