ClickUp is seeking a Revenue Accounting operations manager that has working knowledge of the end-to-end order-to-cash process and deep operational expertise in overseeing the revenue recognition of our subscription business. In addition, this individual has a strong and balanced understanding of ASC606, accounts receivables, deferred revenue, commissions and payment settlement process.

 

The ideal candidate understands the importance of complete and accurate financial reporting and has prior experience in working with Corporate Accounting, Sales, Product, FP&A, Legal and other cross-functional teams within the company. The Role:

  • As a Revenue Accounting Manager, you will support the accounting close process and assist on strategic initiatives to streamline the close process
  • You will partner cross-functionally across Controllership, FP&A, Analytics, Sales, Legal and Product teams to shape revenue close and enhance our revenue reporting processes to ensure they are streamlined, efficient, and tailored to meet the current and future needs of the stakeholders
  • Assist with overseeing accounting close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analyses, to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of close
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to investigate root cause revenue discrepancies, propose and implement solutions, and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure corrective actions are taken as well as systematically working to fix on a go-forward
  • Develop, maintain, and document internal controls and develop new controls as the Company continues to expand and evolve
  • Understand internal and external revenue reporting requirements and optimize financial systems to provide improved visibility
  • Prepare ad hoc revenue analysis as requested and respond to auditor queries
  • Assist in expanding the accounting team by participating in the recruitment and training of accounting contractors to build a robust team capable of supporting the company's growth

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years of operational accounting within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • CPA certification is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in dynamic environments, adeptly managing multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with Finance Systems (ie: NetSuite, Tableau, Salesforce), Order Management, Sales, and Deal Desk, to maintain revenue recognition systems to ensure GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Solid business acumen and the ability to analyze information from internal and cross-functional teams to assess the need for and execution of manual and/or systematic accounting entries
  • Experience managing relationships with external auditors to facilitate efficient completion of audits requests

Salary range: $125,000 - $160,000
