Job Summary
Responsible for managing and leading the daily functions of Property Improvement Operations project management staff, including but not limited to project management, customer communications, and delegation of work assignments. Participate in the creation of new labor programs from initial recommendations on program viability to development and final implementation.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Executes short- and long-term strategies and inputs around operating budgets and forecasts to support sales and service level initiatives. Proposes structure and operational changes as required to increase efficiency. Participates in strategic system and program development.
- Provides support to internal and external customers through the management of renovations projects. Works with customers on complex quotes, vendor negotiation of special pricing, terms or conditions, and drop-ships when appropriate to secure bids. Ensures outstanding issues are resolved.
- Identifies and implements process changes and improvements to maximize effectiveness and service levels.
- Establishes and maintains key relationships with vendors, labor contractors, and customers. Ensures operational compliance and contractor compliance within company standards.
- Identifies market opportunities and strategies and exploits through the implementation of marketing and sales tools.
- Coordinates interactions with other departments. Works with other departments on inter-related functions (i.e. Merchandising, Sales, Warehouses, and Inventory Management).
- Manages daily departmental activities including services levels, customer interaction, and problem resolution. Interacts directly with Renovation Sale Representatives to resolve customer issues and capture sales.
- Hires, trains, develops, and reviews the performance of department staff. Develops operational standards and monitors adherence to standards. Creates, compiles, and analyzes renovations operations reports to identify trends, opportunities, and potential problems for associates at their site.

- Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Work Environment
- Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
