Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) is a multi-disciplinary arts center located in Brooklyn, New York. BAM is seeking a highly organized and audience-obsessed Manager of Relationship Marketing & Analytics, who is passionate about customer engagement, loyalty, lifecycle marketing, and data-driven decision making. This role is central to our marketing strategy and supports the execution of customer marketing initiatives designed to increase audience engagement, retention, frequency, and lifetime value. The manager will partner with internal marketing and technology teams to help deliver meaningful experiences across owned channels.
We are looking for an inquisitive, detail-oriented individual who thinks logically, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is obsessed with understanding our audience. You will spend your days in Tessitura and Prospect2, translating concepts into live campaigns that reach thousands of BAM audience members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and manage audience segments and campaign lists to support relationship marketing efforts, including direct mail, email, and paid media
- Build, QA, and deploy email campaigns in Prospect2. You will ensure every link, asset, and segment is perfect before hitting “send”
- Support the Associate Director, Relationship Marketing & Analytics with planning and execution of institutional email campaigns
- Deliver high-quality, accurate and on-time email campaigns
- Identify testing opportunities and coordinate with broader CRM team to execute selected tests
- Learn CRM best practices and be a spokesperson with our partners to ensure these practices are implemented across our campaigns
- Assist the broader CRM team with the deployment of strategic initiatives, including A/B testing, segmentation logic, and the onboarding of new platform features
- Partner with marketing and creative teams to ensure audience-facing communications align with best practices
- Maintain documentation to support ongoing CRM operations
- Support the Associate Director, Relationship Marketing & Analytics with data analysis that informs key marketing decisions
- Assist the Associate Director, Relationship Marketing & Analytics in researching audience needs, motivations, and behaviors through data analysis, surveys, and other methods, internally and with outside vendors
- Work with the Associate Director, Relationship Marketing & Analytics to formalize Marketing Division KPIs, track results against projections, and prepare statistics for leadership reports, board meetings, and other purposes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field a plus
- Minimum 3–4 years of progressive experience in marketing analytics, CRM/database marketing, or audience development, preferably within a nonprofit arts or cultural organization.
- Proficient in CRM and ticketing/database systems—experience with Tessitura and Prospect2 highly preferred
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business intelligence/data visualization tools
- Proficient with SQL, data segmentation and A/B testing
- Excellent project management skills; capable of juggling multiple priorities, campaigns, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to advocate for audience needs through data-driven strategies
- Experience tracking marketing performance and optimizing campaigns based on measurable outcomes.

Compensation: The salary for this position is $80K. This role is represented by Local 2110 and will be paid in accordance with the BAM/UAW Local 2110 Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is full-time, exempt, and eligible for benefits. Working conditions: Administrative Work (Category 1):
- The employee sits most of the time yet may occasionally move around the office, uses fingers and hands, engages in frequent oral communication, and has close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer and preparation of data and figures.
- Location: The position will primarily be onsite (3+ days), with occasional flexibility to work remotely as the workload allows.
