Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to drive the strategy, development, and growth of our investment and foreign exchange product suite. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of our Dual Currency Investment products and FX transactions, driving new initiatives for FX forward and FX option products, and overseeing our commodities portfolio (gold, silver, etc.). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets, a customer-centric mindset, and a proven track record of successfully launching and managing financial products. You will work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and compliance teams to deliver innovative and competitive solutions that meet the needs of our diverse customer base in the Malaysian market as well as the Singapore market.
Job Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Dual Currency Investments, FX transactions, FX forwards, FX options, and commodities (gold, silver, etc.), aligning with the overall business objectives and market opportunities in Malaysia.
Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer needs assessments to identify opportunities, understand market trends, and inform product decisions.
Product Development & Launch: Lead the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, including defining product requirements, collaborating with engineering and design teams, conducting user testing, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of existing and new products, including monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, process and planning enhancements, and making strategic decisions regarding product evolution or sunsetting.
Pricing & Profitability: Develop and implement pricing strategies that optimize revenue and profitability while remaining competitive in the Malaysian market.
Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure all products adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies in Malaysia. Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure product features and processes are compliant.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials tailored for the Malaysian audience.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track key product metrics, analyze performance data, and generate regular reports to stakeholders, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including technology, operations, sales, customer service, and regulatory bodies.
Customer Focus: Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that product decisions are driven by customer needs and feedback.
Product Evangelism: Act as a product evangelist, both internally and externally, to build awareness and understanding of the product offerings.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DCI, FX derivatives, and commodities product management.
Job Requirements
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (a Master’s degree or professional certifications like CFA/FRM is an advantage).
Have at least 5 years of proven experience in product and project management within financial services or wealth management, specifically handling Dual Currency Investments, FX platforms/derivatives, or commodities in the Malaysian market.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of financial markets, structured investment products, FX trading principles, commodities, and related risk management practices.
Proven ability to translate business needs and market requirements into detailed product specifications and user stories within an Agile development environment.
Familiar with relevant Malaysian financial regulations and compliance requirements governing investment and FX products.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) for financial modeling and presentations, with experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Gemini) to boost research and productivity.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix reporting structure.

Skills Required
