Overview
The Business Manager acts as the strategic and execution support partner to the Head of Wealth Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Head of Wealth Malaysia, the role drives business planning, performance tracking, governance, stakeholder coordination, and strategic initiatives across the Wealth business. This position ensures senior leadership has strong visibility of performance, key priorities, risks, and execution progress, translating strategic direction into clear action plans across Wealth Management, Priority Banking, Bancassurance, Investment, Treasury, and Advisory functions.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Planning: Support the Head of Wealth in developing the Wealth Malaysia strategy (client growth, AUM, revenue, and product penetration); prepare annual business plans, board presentations, and track progress against key transformation initiatives.
- Performance Management and Analytics: Own the business performance rhythm by monitoring financial, sales, and RM productivity metrics; prepare regular performance dashboards and provide actionable insights to improve portfolio growth.
- Governance and Business Cadence: Ensure discipline across leadership meetings, monthly business reviews, and decision-making forums by managing agendas, tracking action deliverables, and monitoring timelines and escalation items.
- Strategic Initiatives and Transformation: Support the execution of core Wealth transformation initiatives (Priority growth/rebranding, digital wealth adoption, and advisory model enhancements) by coordinating workstreams, tracking milestones, and removing blockers.
- Stakeholder and Frontline Support: Serve as the key coordination point between the Head of Wealth and internal stakeholders by preparing briefing notes, talking points, and townhall materials; support frontline execution via sales campaign tracking and toolkits.
- Risk, Compliance and Deliverables: Monitor business risks, tracking regulatory, compliance, and audit action items; maintain proper governance records and consistently deliver weekly priority trackers, meeting minutes, and project updates.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:
- Possess Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- More than 5 to 8 years of experience in banking, wealth management, strategy, business planning, or sales management, with an advantage if experienced in supporting senior leadership.
- Deep knowledge of affluent, priority, and HNW client segments, with direct experience in investment, bancassurance, wealth advisory, or branch distribution frameworks.
- Strong business and financial analysis skills with expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to build data dashboards and executive-level presentations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong grasp of banking controls and risk compliance; comfortable engaging directly with senior executives and influencing cross-functional teams without authority.

Skills Required
