The Role

The Manager of Regional Sales is responsible for managing and directing sales personnel and processes to grow business with existing customers and generate new business opportunities within an assigned region. This role focuses on driving sales growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving profitability goals through effective team management and strategic planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Develop and implement sales plans to achieve regional sales targets.

•Forecast and establish annual sales objectives for products, customers, and territories.

•Manages and Directs work of functional team, including hiring, corrective action, performance appraisals and pay review, budget and processes.

•Ability to lead and motivate a large team, manage performance, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment in accordance to Wurth basic principles.

•Implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge, including new employee onboarding.

•Manage workforce planning, staffing, and labor relations to meet operational requirements.

•Collaborate with internal business partners to align sales goals with organizational objectives.

•Manage and mentor sales representatives within the region to drive performance and achieve sales targets.

•Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching, training, and recognition to team members.

•Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while fostering a positive team culture.

•Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

•Support sales representatives in customer negotiations, contract discussions, and product presentations.

•Act as a point of escalation to resolve customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.

•Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progress through the sales cycle.

•Provide guidance on closing deals and securing contracts that align with profitability goals.

•Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.

•Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regional conditions to inform sales strategies.

•Identify opportunities for growth and recommend initiatives to capitalize on them.

•Participate in trade shows and industry conferences to enhance market presence.

•Work with internal departments such as Marketing, Operations, and Product Development to align strategies and support customer needs.

•Coordinate customer implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.

•Provide regular updates on sales performance, forecasts, and regional activities to senior management.

•Prepare and present reports on key metrics, customer trends, and team achievements.

•All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

•Minimum 5 years of industrial sales experience, with a strong understanding of the industry and products.

•Strong leadership and team management abilities.

•Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.

•Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.

•Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

•Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the region.
