A Day in Your Life at MKS:
Reporting to a Sr. Director, Global Trade Compliance (f/m/d) within the MKS Legal organization, and collaborating extensively with all regional businesses, you will be a strategic and hands-on team member within the company’s Global Trade Compliance team, responsible for facilitating the company’s trade activities and enhancing and optimizing the overall trade compliance program within the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India (EMEAI) region.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Subject matter expert in regional regulatory interpretation (e.g., EAR, ITAR, EU / Israeli dual use & military, India Strategic Trade Controls and SCOMET, etc ,) and the development and implementation of mitigation strategies through projects and key initiatives;
- Serve as the Regional Trade Compliance Council lead and Regional Site Export Coordinator, and foster global compliance coordination;
- Developing and implementing trade compliance export / re-export / Customs training and communication content and delivery systems ;
- Assisting in product and technology classification ((e.g., Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), EMEAI Dual Use and Military Lists, SCOMET, etc.), export/re-export licenses for export activities, party screening management, and audits and investigations.
- Support business sites in developing and implementing well written, user-friendly compliance processes, procedures, and manuals, including compliance programs.
- Work closely with Corporate Global Trade Compliance (GTC) and Site Export Coordinators to manage risk and ensure compliance with U.S. and regional export laws and regulations.
- Liaise with governmental agencies in region and produce internal reports and governmental filings, respond to government inquiries, investigations, and audits, and implement corrective actions; and
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Skills You Bring:

- several years of relevant experience;
- Extensive knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, particularly within key regional markets for EMEA
- Experience in regional regulatory interpretation (e.g., EAR, ITAR, EU / Israeli dual use & military, India Strategic Trade Controls and SCOMET, etc ,)
- Experience with developing and managing trade compliance programs / Experience working with government enforcement authorities
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, law, or a related field;
