About the Role
As a Delivery Manager , you will lead a focused team of 4–8 direct reports, typically including Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Integration Leads, and Test Engineers. Your organization will span 20–30 team members across hardware, software, integration, validation, and certification functions, collaborating closely with cross-functional and global teams.
You will foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and continuous improvement within your team. Your leadership will be critical in driving successful delivery of assigned Ready Connect TCU solutions, balancing technical execution with people development and stakeholder alignment.
What You Will Do
Product & Portfolio Leadership
Own delivery for TCU Product across one or more of the product families; ensure HBOM↔SBOM mapping, release readiness, and Product variant cadence.
Co-own HW & SW roadmaps with Product Management; balance platform strategy with customer-specific demands; manage SKU discipline and derivative strategy per PLM100.
Maintain ALM traceability (IRS→SRS→TRS/TFS→Test Reports→Release Notes) and conformance to BMS M Gates and PSR thresholds.
Engineering Execution & Practices
Direct System, HW, SW, Security, Integration, Validation, and Certification teams to deliver gold-quality TCU Product.
Institutionalize SAFe, CI/CD, branching strategy, automated validation, core asset governance, defect triage policy, and DORA/flow metrics.
Drive core asset reuse and SDK-agnostic shared libraries; enforce API/contract discipline and documentation maturity.
Customer Management
Engage key customers to identify engineering requirements, prioritization & resolve deployment challenges.
Contribute to the preparation of RFQ proposals, briefings, and presentations. Act as the face of HARMAN for the Product space.
Deliver key POCs and demos to the customer to realize the value of HARMAN products and solutions, seek feedback, and improve the overall customer experience.
Customer Acquisition, RFx & Business Growth
Lead new customer acquisition with Portfolio, Sales/CAMs, and BD; develop win themes and differentiation for telematics platforms.
Own technical leadership for RFIs/RFQs/CRs (scope, feasibility, solution architecture, CAPEX/OPEX, unit cost, feature/financial strategies, submission quality).
Engage C/Director-level customer stakeholders; run roadmap discovery workshops; channel market intelligence into business cases.
Team Leadership
Direct & lead the engineering team responsible for both hardware & software components associated with the assigned products/platforms/solutions.
Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA testers, and other relevant team members.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and knowledge sharing. Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
Build and develop a strong global team of engineers to cater to evolving business requirements. Attract, retain, motivate, lead & inspire best-in-class talent. Promote and develop top talent and move or change incorrect talent when needed.
Direct & lead the engineering team to create differentiation and IP for Harman in Networking using 5G, V2X, AI/ML, Edge Computing, Satellite Communication, MEC, Cyber Security.
Cybersecurity & DevSecOps
Embed DevSecOps, FOSS license compliance, dependency scanning, SBOM generation, vulnerability management (CVSS), and security gates in CI/CD.
Coordinate ISO 21434/UNECE R155 readiness; align TARA/CSMS with product releases and customer audits.
Establish secure build & signing pipelines for Product Software key management, and artifact provenance (SLSA aligned).
Quality, Compliance & Lab Enablement
Design, commission, and operate a state-of-the-art Pre-Compliance Lab for TCU product covering EMI/EMC, environmental & reliability (HALT/HASS), thermal, vibration; define lab SOPs, traceability, and calibration plans aligned to M Gate milestones.
Enable multi-fixture benches for parallel TCU testing across assigned product families with automated orchestration and results harvesting.
Stand up RF test chains for Cellular (2G/3G/4G/5G/RedCap), GNSS, Wi-Fi 5/6/6E, BT/BLE, and SATCOM (L/S/Ka), including OTA chambers/simulators when appropriate.
Integrate vehicle network testbeds (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet/TSN) for comprehensive integration and regression suites.
Publish pre-compliance scorecards and go/no-go gates before external labs; drive RCA and design feedback loops to HW/SW owners.
Product Development Processes
Champion agile methodologies and best practices for product development, ensuring the team adheres to established processes. Streamline engineering processes including SAFe agile framework, best practices & development/testing tools.
Collaborate with product owners to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer needs, market trends, and business goals.
Facilitate effective product backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Future Roadmap Enablement (SDV/AI)
Plan for SDV workflows (scenario libraries, SIL/HIL, data pipelines) leveraging the lab for connectivity-centric use cases and fleet update strategies.
Pilot AI-assisted testing (anomaly detection, log intelligence, test generation) to improve coverage.
Partnerships & Ecosystem for e2e TCU Business
Forge partnerships with lab equipment vendors, certification bodies, network operators (cellular & SATCOM), cloud/AI providers, and NAD suppliers to unlock end-to-end TCU opportunities.
Co-create joint reference solutions (TCU Products (HW+SW)) for demos, PoCs, and RFQs; develop partner GTM motions and co-marketing assets.
Negotiate framework agreements for lab access, calibration, and external certification throughput to de-risk timelines.
Stakeholder Management
Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product managers, executives, and other department leads.
Communicate project updates, progress reports, and potential challenges to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Address and manage stakeholder expectations while balancing competing priorities and project constraints.
Establish strong relationships with executives, Product, Finance, Quality, PMO, B&I/System Test; communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly.
Manage budget, schedule, scope, and capacity planning across families; execute proactive risk mitigations (supply, certifications, dependencies).
Risk Management
Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and work proactively to address and mitigate them.
Ensure that risk management strategies are implemented to avoid project delays and cost overruns.
Manage the plan, schedule, and cost for the execution of the products. Responsible for budget ownership and performance as it relates to the budget plan.
Continuous Improvement
Conduct post-development evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future product/roadmap development.
Propose and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and product quality as measured by Quality and Stability pillar (PSR).
Maintain a culture within the team that promotes ownership. Identify, track & demonstrate continuous improvement across KPIs.
KPIs & Success Measures
Pre-compliance pass rate (EMI/EMC/reliability) and first-time right at external labs.
Automation coverage (HIL/RF/vehicle networks), lab utilization, and defect detection effectiveness.
Security defect density and time to remediate; SBOM completeness and policy compliance.
TCU Product SW delivery on-time release rate & % passing PSR thresholds; RFQ win rate, time to proposal, BC/EPUT accuracy.
Reuse index (# core assets used per TCU Product variant), defect escape rate; Traceability coverage and M Gate adherence.
Cost targets: unit BOM and engineering budget adherence.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration) or equivalent work experience.
8–12 years of experience in product development and delivery management, product development, or related roles, with a track record of successful project deliveries.
3+ years of software development experience in automotive electronic field and 3+ years of software project lead or management work experience.
In-depth knowledge of agile development methodologies and tools with product delivery expertise and a solid understanding of SAFe Agile practices.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with product development lifecycles, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
A broad technical background with general knowledge of cellular and network technology (5G, V2X & MEC), standards, mobile devices, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, cloud-based services, software architectures, and automotive-grade products and processes.
Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels.
Very experienced with Jira & Confluence. Able to create customized filters, dashboards, etc.
Familiar with software process standard, such as Misra, Automotive SPICE, Agile and etc.
Ability to work initiative, independent propulsion, positive & strong communication.
Experienced with Scrum –Scrum Master certification or PMP certification is a plus.
Fluent in verbal and spoken English.
