Role Overview
 
We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager – QA to lead QA delivery and Quality Engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise across QA Automation, Functional Testing, AI-driven Testing, Agentic Automation, People Management, Client Management, and SOW/Delivery Management.
 
The candidate should be able to provide both technical leadership and delivery leadership, while driving the adoption of modern AI-powered and agentic automation approaches within QA.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead QA teams and provide technical and delivery leadership across projects.
• Define and drive QA strategy, test approach, automation strategy, and quality engineering practices.
• Strong experience in Functional Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and End-to-End Testing.
• Strong experience in Test Automation, including designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Drive adoption of AI-powered testing and Agentic Automation to improve QA productivity, coverage, and efficiency.
• Design and implement Agentic Automation solutions where AI agents can understand requirements, generate/execute test scenarios, analyze results, identify defects, and support test maintenance.
• Evaluate and leverage Generative AI / LLM capabilities for test automation, test case generation, test data creation, defect analysis, and QA productivity.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to QA engineers and automation teams.
• Manage team performance, resource allocation, utilization, skill development, and career growth.
• Work closely with clients, business stakeholders, Product Owners, Developers, and other delivery teams.
• Own QA delivery and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and quality metrics.
• Participate in SOW preparation, effort estimation, resource planning, scope definition, milestones, and deliverables.
• Support SOW execution, change requests, project extensions, and scope-related discussions.
• Prepare and present QA status, metrics, risks, and delivery updates to senior stakeholders and clients.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of modern QA, AI, and automation practices.
• Support hiring, technical evaluation, onboarding, and capability development of QA resources.

 
 Must-Have Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
• Strong experience in both Functional Testing and Test Automation.
• Proven experience in QA Team / People Management.
• Strong experience in Client and Stakeholder Management.
• Hands-on experience with SOW, estimation, resource planning, and delivery management.
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with UI and API automation.
• Good programming knowledge in Java, C#, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Mandatory experience/exposure to AI-driven QA / AI-based Test Automation.
• Mandatory exposure/experience in Agentic Automation, including AI agents or agent-based approaches for software testing and automation.
• Understanding of Generative AI / LLMs, AI-assisted test generation, test execution, defect analysis, or test maintenance.
• Experience using AI tools/platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI/LLM-based solutions for QA/automation is preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD and version-control tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Git, etc.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
