Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results:
Conduct QA/QC reviews of R&D tax credit studies for accuracy and completeness.
Support quality control for cost segregation, §179D, and §45L studies.
Assist in developing review protocols and training materials.
Maintain a small book of studies to stay technically sharp.
Participate in client calls and provide technical support as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in federal tax incentives, especially R&D credits.
Strong attention to detail and documentation standards.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Professional Skills:
Must have excellent organization and time management skills, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn and be a team player.
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Internet navigation and legal/technical tax code research tools.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assists Director and/or Manager, as requested, to directly supervise employees in the R&D Tax practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm’s policies and applicable laws.
Work Environment:
Standard indoor working environment.
Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
Travel Requirement: up to 30 - 50%
