THE ROLE:  Manager, Quality & Continuous Improvement

 

LOCATION:              Waukesha, WI

REPORTS TO:        Sr. Director, Operations

POSITION TYPE:    Full-time, Exempt

 

OUR OPPORTUNITY:

Develop and guide the quality policy and culture by modernizing operations, solving problems, and scaling performance.  Shape quality systems, drive operational excellence, leverage digital tools, and utilize modern thinking while being a hands-on leader. Manage high priority, large scale projects that span across multiple departments.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead initiatives that improve how work gets done across quality, operations, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and mature a scalable Quality Management System.
  • Strengthen process controls, corrective actions, document control, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with vendors as necessary to improve supplier quality performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, and process capability.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause investigations, and cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, and purchasing to define improvement objectives, success measures, team roles and responsibilities.
  • Successfully deploy Lean Six Sigma company wide.
  • Use Epicor to improve process discipling and operational visibility.
  • Create, build and enhance decision making dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
  • Explore and apply AI tools to improve reporting, automation, and insight generation.
  • Move the quality organization from reactive management to data-driven execution.
  • Balance multiple continuous improvement projects spanning various disciplines.
  • Ensure team is appropriately resourced to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards.

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or related field.
  • Five years of leadership experience in continuous improvement and/or quality within a manufacturing environment. Prior experience leading a team strongly preferred.
  • Experience building or strengthening a Quality Management System.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, 5S, or structured problem-solving methods.
  • Proficient in Epicor (or comparable ERP system) and Microsoft Power BI
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and communicate effectively with engineering, sales, marketing, project management, and production employees.

Skills Required
