The Manager is a part of QFS & Governance Japan team, directly reporting to Director QFS & Governance Japan 

What You’ll Do for Us 

  • Ensure Japan Coca-Cola production and market quality & food safety to meet Japan market expectations. 

  • Provide thorough leadership and action especially low acid sensitive products. 

  • Act as a primary role to QFS operation through E2E governance from production to market 

  • Implement and monitor The Coca-Cola Quality System governance framework (KORE) and ensure products, packages, ingredients, services, fountain operations and production facilities comply with the requirements of KORE and local regulations.   

  • Drive Q&FS systems and programs while ensuring best-in-class leadership through partnership, governance and innovation across the supply chains.  

  • Implement all global QFS methodology, standards and requirements for product, package and processes, distribution and marketplace 

  • Manage and execute the development of OU Quality, Food Safety improvement activities throughout the value chain to protect people, products, package and trademark integrity, and improve QFS performance. Manage knowledge and best practices sharing across plants. 

  • Support OHS initiatives, Governance activities and QSE culture transformation to ensure QSE culture excellence is a core value embedded in everything we do across the system. 

  • Innovation: support for all technical operational QFS aspects that protect and enhance our company reputation. Ensure efficient and effective QFS reporting systems are in place to ensure bottlers have access to appropriate qualified information. 

  • Organize and manage bottler & co-packer management in OU to prevent business disruption. Conduct quality and food safety assessment, authorization process for plants and production lines. Conduct facility design, line approval, production authorization and change management process. Provide technical support and guidance, and follow up corrective action plans, ensure full implementation and compliance of KORE QSF requirements 

  • Direct involvement and implementation of the key QFS-related projects with Bottling Partners together with Technical Operation Managers.  

  • Drive and support business initiatives (e.g., water efficiency) by delivering innovations and/or kaizen with proactive behavior beyond QSE organization. 

  • Part of global expert network role in Quality & Food safety. 

 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • 5+ years working experience in food/beverage industry. 

  • At least have some working experience regarding quality & food safety tasks within practical business affairs. 

  • Experience and/or expertise in microbiology testing operation. 

  • Working experience in the field of Quality Assurance & Control or equivalent. 

  • University/bachelor’s degree in science, Technology or Engineering. 

  • Knowledge of Food QA/QC (Microbiology, Pest control, Food law and Regulations, Agricultural Chemical, etc. 

  • Knowledge of ISO9001, GFSI(FSSC22000), basic QA methodology and skills for problem solving based on facts.

Skills and behaviors 

  • Mastery of (Must)

    • Quality, food safety, ingredient safety technical governance, risks, quality parameters and quality specifications. Very good understanding of GMP and overall manufacturing conditions for the various product categories.
    • Franchise leadership, stakeholder management, partnership and collaboration.
    • Excellent technical knowledge and experience in bottling operations, beverage production technology and supplier processes. Management system knowledge and auditing process knowledge 
    • Ability to understand risks, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and create mitigation plans. 
    • Knowledge of microbiology, allergen management, food safety in the industry  
  • Program Management: Ability to provide oversight and management to synthesize/bring synergy to multiple initiatives by establishing courses of action for self and others to ensure efficiently, adjusting priorities, establishing management routines to effectively track progress and identify issues. 

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment. 

  • Systems holistic thinking: Ability to connect the dots and determine areas of integration. 

  • Good interpersonal skill and cross Functional Relationships: Knowledge and ability to articulate to senior management the benefits supporting cross-functional objectives to achieve the business plan. 

  • Native level of local language. Business level of English is plus. Need to listen, write and read basic technical documents in English. 

  • Allow to have many travelling.
