The Manager of Pulp , Energy & Circularity Procurement, North America is responsible for:
Developing and leading the procurement team in North America for PEC Business Line
Managing the global supplier network for the ongoing sales and ongoing projects.
Implementing new cost competitive supply sources and supply strategies for projects.
Defining and ensuring implementation of long term cost saving targets.
Optimizing the existing global supplier base
Support in contract management including contract negotiations.
Supplier relationship management and supplier development
Resolution of supplier related issues for unresolved issues.
Requirements:
To be successful in this position person needs to be result and business driven and have experience of leadership and negotiations. Purchasing and resource planning is an advantage. Machine manufacturing industry, product knowledge and hands-on experience in similar sourcing role in an international environment including experience from cost competitive country business environment and supplier base is an advantage.
Suitable education, preferably a technical or commercial university degree, other degrees with extensive relevant work experience are also possible.
Strong communication and intercultural negotiation skills, strategic planning and development. Co-operative attitude and genuine drive and desire to make success within Valmet. Fluent English, both written and oral, is essential.
Note: The position requires travelling due to global partners and suppliers.
