Opportunity Overview:

Cohere’s Provider Success team is responsible for ensuring consistent delivery of a proactive, supportive, and partner-oriented experience to our national membership of providers/practices across our health plan-clients' networks (e.g. orthopedic specialists, primary care, ancillary service providers, health systems, etc.). The Provider Performance and Training Manager will be an integral member of the Provider Success team ensuring practice/user insights are integrated within operation strategy, and driving performance improvement to support at-the-elbow partnerships to engage trust and produce loyalty with our Provider Partners.

Additionally, you will play a proactive role and work closely with the broader Provider Success Onboarding, Training, and Program Management teams to deeply understand our mission and web based provider product. You will need to understand Cohere’s strategic growth plan for new product offerings, and the perspective of provider organizations with the challenges that they face to determine change agents in provider/clinical practice patterns. You will assist with implementing a number of performance monitoring activities, strengthening educational insights and managing support tools that enable intervention-based campaigns designed by Cohere’s clinical counterparts.

What you will do:

Performance Management

  • Monitor and evaluate provider performance using established metrics and data analysis for our Provider Success, Onboarding and Training teams.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance performance and training.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with providers to create performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Serve as the Provider Success (PS) performance trend & analysis main point of contact across product lines and teams
  • Identifying non-adherence/outliers within PS portfolio, then delegate to PS Account Management (PSAM) to launch outbound email, phone, and/or educational campaigns to drive favorable behavior change
  • Develop criteria for best practices and performance interventions
  • Identify issue root cause analysis (RCA) to develop and integrate mitigation strategies and avoid repeat issues
  • Develop and maintain a robust set of performance monitoring best practices to optimize practice performance
  • Build tooling to assist with improvement of portal adoption & auto approval rates
  • Be the subject matter expert for utilization of internal support platforms (Salesforce, Jira, Tableau) 
  • Help with target presentations to educate providers and payers on key data discoveries


Training and Development

  • Oversee design, development, and implementation of  training programs for healthcare providers
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed
  • Ensure scaling model for our 24/7/365 learning center is dynamic across clients


Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, clinical and IT departments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Cohere’s Provider Success team regarding performance and training matters.
  • Support PS Onboarding team with insights for implementation of new client networks
  • Partner with PS Program Management on internal initiatives & ad hoc requests to  improve the overall provider success experience 
  • Collaborate with the PS Account Management team for ongoing steady-state work and scaling opportunities


Your background & requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, provider relations, network operations, or network development role, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs for healthcare providers.
  • Ability to constantly prioritize large & diverse demands across a variety of areas and independently allocate effort to the highest impact activities
  • Experience working with healthcare provider data and networks
  • Demonstrated expertise in data preparation and analysis using Google, Excel, Accessand other Microsoft applications
  • Prior experience managing mid to large scale projects
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and develop improvement strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be passionate about contributing to a culture that values consistent delivery of a proactive, supportive, and partner-oriented experience to providers/practices
  • Willing and able to travel ~25% of the time
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate providers.
  • Proficiency in using performance management software and training tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality standards.
  • Relevant certifications in healthcare management or training are a plus.
