The Prospect Development Manager plays a critical role in advancing Children's Wisconsin Foundation’s fundraising efforts by leading a strategic, data-informed approach to prospect identification, research, and portfolio management. This position supports all relationship managers by delivering actionable insights, optimizing portfolios, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the moves management process.  The Prospect Development Manager partners closely with leadership and relationship managers to ensure the right prospects are prioritized at the right time, driving successful philanthropic partnerships that align with the Foundation’s mission. This role leads the development and implementation of best practices in prospect research, strategy, and portfolio analysis to enhance fundraising performance across the organization.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of five years of previous prospect research or development experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and inform strategy.
  • Proficiency in synthesizing and communicating research findings from multiple sources.
  • Experience with information resources such as LexisNexis, NOZA, Research Point, Windfall, LinkedIn, and NOZA.  Familiarity with fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser's Edge preferred).
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, an aptitude for logical thinking, and commitment to professional ethics.
  • Experience working in non-profit sector and with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proven leadership capabilities including the following leadership competencies: Strategic Mindset, Action oriented, Collaborates, and Situational Adaptability
