Manager / Projects (Conservation) - Central Catchment Nature Reserve (Contract)
[What the role is]
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Central Catchment Nature Reserve (CCNR) team. You will be responsible for assisting the implementing of a Forest Fire Detection and Monitoring System for biodiversity conservation in the CCNR and the surrounding Nature Parks. This role requires you to work closely with internal divisions such as IT for the maintenance of the Forest Fire Detection and Monitoring System. You will liaise with external regulatory authorities and the awarded contractor to setup and maintain the system. You will also be involved in conservation operations and nature conservation activities to enhance both our native biodiversity and visitor experience.[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities include the following:
Assist in liaison with the contractor to plan and conduct the acceptance test for the FFDMS to achieve the desired performance required for commissioning the system.
Closely supervise the new vendors to deliver the stated requirements for the system in accordance to set timelines, including providing updates via monthly meetings and ad hoc site meetings.
Supervise the new vendor in their subsequent maintenance of the FFDMS.
Support CCNR managers in operations and projects such as community engagement, feedback management, and tree inspection.
[What we are looking for]
Areas of study in Environmental Management, Life Science, Botany, Zoology, or related discipline in applied sciences for conservation is preferred.
At least 1 year of experience in project management in areas of conservation or greenery maintenance.
Able to work in dynamic environment with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.
An organised, creative, and resourceful team player who is able to work independently.
Enjoy working in an outdoor environment and has a keen interest in nature conservation.
Possession of Class 3 Driving License will be very helpful in utilising the assigned work vehicle to visit project sites.

Skills Required
- Degree or study in Environmental Management, Life Science, Botany, Zoology, or related conservation applied sciences
- At least 1 year of project management experience in conservation or greenery maintenance
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines effectively in a dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Organised, creative, resourceful team player who can work independently
- Enjoy working outdoors and have a keen interest in nature conservation
- Possession of Class 3 Driving License
