What you will do
- Lead all aspects of accreditation-related project work for self-insured federal health plans, including documentation management, compliance tracking, and coordination with business partners to meet AAAHC standards and timelines.
- Complete semi-annual and annual self-assessments to demonstrate compliance to clients and to prepare for AAAHC reaccreditation surveys, ensuring findings are documented, tracked, and addressed.
- Lead client meetings related to accreditation and compliance, clearly communicating status, risks, and next steps.
- Report on progress toward meeting and maintaining AAAHC and client-specific compliance requirements, providing clear summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support additional projects that advance business objectives, providing project management expertise and cross-functional collaboration as needed.
- Lead the development and execution of project plans, defining key deliverables, timelines, and iterative milestones to drive organizational objectives.
- Monitor project progress and quality, proactively identifying and addressing issues, risks, and necessary adjustments to keep initiatives on track.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to gather requirements, align expectations, and foster effective partnerships throughout each project.
- Prepare and present clear project updates, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation plans for stakeholders.
- Partner with business leaders and external partners to provide functional guidance, leadership, and targeted training as needed.
Position Summary
Serves as the primary project manager responsible for retaining plan accreditation through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) for our self-insured federal plan sponsors in the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program and the Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) program. This role ensures all AAAHC documentation, compliance, and cross-functional requirements are met, while also leading additional projects that support broader business goals as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of health insurance experience.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, execute and deliver projects on time with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and high-quality outcomes
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to assess risks and recommend effective solutions
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated growth mindset, including agility in navigating change and commitment to developing yourself and others
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with the Federal Employee Health Benefit Program
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $159,120.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
