Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Global Supply Chain (GSC), Goods Movement & Logistics (GM&L) has an opening for a Manager Project Management 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position can be hybrid or remote, or can be based onsite in Melbourne, FL or Palmdale, CA. Occasional travel to varied NGAS sites may be required to support business needs.
This position reports to the GSC Sector Logistics Director for the Aeronautics Systems Sector and will be responsible for Project Management initiatives in support of all programs and sites across the sector, such as oversight of planning and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects throughout the sector. They will be responsible for establishing reviews rhythms for project status and budgets; managing schedules, productivity and reporting preparation. As the functional manager of a small team, they are responsible for assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer and program-focused goals and objectives, developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress through closure and for intervention and problem solving with peer leaders and matrixed reporting responsibilities. The role will be responsible for development, sustainment and evolution of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the different logistics disciplines (Transportation, Traffic & Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportability (PHS&T)). Selected candidate will responsible for activities and knowledge within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain organization, exhibiting end-to-end supply chain competence.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for project management oversight across the sector, acting as the escalation path to address issues in program execution related to the execution
- Lead a team of individual contributors who are responsible for supporting all sector sites, programs and product line objectives
- Managing matrixed/dotted line relationships with teams of peer leaders and individual contributors, based on functional disciplines
- Develop and Drive strategy for Logistics operations that align with sector goals, ensuring supply chain processes are optimized to support business growth, operational excellence and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate closely across cross-functional teams, overseeing digital transformation throughout the Logistics disciplines (Transportation, Traffic & PHS&T)
- Serve as a key liaison with internal customers and executive leadership, communicating strategic plans and operational performance effectively and transparently
- Cultivate a high performing engaged culture by modeling respect, ownership and joint accountability, while fostering empowerment and promoting straight talk across all levels of the organization
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and succession planning to ensure leadership readiness across the organization, training and guiding employees to ensure alignment with Northrop Grumman Leadership Values and Behaviors
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with 9 years of experience; Experience in any of the following: Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Project Management, Business Management, Engineering, Operations or Manufacturing.
- Minimum of 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
- Active U.S. Government Secret level clearance is required to apply and to start the role, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supply Chain, Operations or Manufacturing experience
- Experience preparing and presenting executive-level presentations
- Experience leading teams in a virtual or geographically dispersed environment
- Experience as an accomplished problem-solver and change-agent whose unique mix of technical and business expertise lends itself to developing innovative Supply Chain strategies
