The RoleIn this role, you will lead a team of Project Engineers working on a variety of projects to implement and improve DGM's control systems and provide ongoing customer support to ensure reliable performance and world-class customer satisfaction.
Working from DGM's Medina, Minnesota campus, and from company and customer sites as required, the successful applicant will contribute to project delivery excellence in support of utility customers in the energy generation transmission and distribution industries. Your Impact
- Leadership, Team and Performance Management - Ensure the successful recruitment and effective onboarding of the team in line with growth plans, and provide subsequent leadership, development and management of the team to provide project delivery excellence.
- Engineering & Project Management – Ensure delivery of effective and competent engineering and technical management support to AspenTech’s customer projects in order to achieve and exceed customer and stakeholder expectations.
- Quality & Innovation - Accountable for delivery quality and for continually innovating and improving project quality. Ensure alignment to, participation in and improvement of AspenTech’s methodologies and delivery practices.
- Customer Relations – Develop and support a strong customer focus within the team and maintain effective customer relationships in support of delivery excellence.
- Team Engagement and Personal Development – Create an inclusive and supportive environment within the team and actively supports team members in achieving personal development and growth.
- Resource management – Ensure all project and pursuit activity assigned is adequately resourced including securing, where necessary, additional resources.
- Resource Utilization – management of their Engineering Group to achieve the target utilization and effectiveness & efficiency KPI’s.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
- 5+ years’ experience in project engineering or project management, preferably in related industry.
- 5+ years’ experience leading engineering services and/or project delivery functions, with a track record of developing strong professional teams.
- Must have a working knowledge of SCADA and/or related operational technologies.
- Ability to travel to customer sites across the US, and on occasion to other customer and company sites globally.
- Superior organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Demonstrable experience in the effective building, management and leadership of Engineering teams.
- A strong commitment to customer service, safety and teamwork.
