JOB SUMMARY:
The primary objective of this role is to establish oversight and governance of current CDI opportunities across new business and new product development initiatives within the next six months, while developing a strategic roadmap for the creation of a CDI PMO to secure organizational approval and investment for fiscal year 2027. The position will identify short-term needs in processes, tools, systems, and resources to ensure project success and build a foundation for scalable execution. Success in this role, demonstrated through measurable value creation and the successful development of the CDI PMO, may lead to advancement into a Director-level position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
New Business Development Projects- 40%
Define and implement project processes, tools, and systems to effectively manage new business opportunities that are critical to the business. Manage, as projects new business opportunities once secured by commercial to ensure success, compliance with project processes, and ongoing process improvement. Determine project and process KPI’s and active track performance.
New Product Development Projects- 40%
Define and implement in relationship with Michelin X0-X3 development process a complete CDI new product development project implementation process, tools, and systems. Develop project tracking, resource planning, and allocation tools for project reporting and planning. Actively manage initial NPD projects to ensure compliance, build process, tool, and system requirements as well as tracking and reporting processes and templates.
CDI Project Management Office (PMO) Creation- 20%
As part of leading and developing new business and new product development projects determine the needs, structure, and capability requirements of a CDI PMO. Develop vision and operational execution plan for the building of a CDI PMO to be approved by leadership and executed over the next 12-24 months.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, Systems, Aerospace, Civil, or a related engineering field) is required.
- 8+ years of project development experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in project development
- Experience in managerial or leadership roles
WORK ENVIRONMENT & POTENTIAL HAZARDS:
- Office environment with daily exposure to the manufacturing floor.
- Some exposure to possible shop hazards including high noise and heavy machinery.
