Lead and direct multiple complex enterprise projects and programs across a healthcare environment. Oversee project intake, planning, scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, procurement, resources, and stakeholder communications. Manage geographically dispersed teams, deliver ePMO methodology and tools, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Leads and directs multiple high-priority, complex, and large strategic enterprise projects and programs simultaneously. Oversees all aspects of projects, including project intake, visioning, planning, scope, schedule, cost, risk, monitoring, quality, procurement, resource, communication, and stakeholder management activities. Delivers projects in a demanding healthcare environment and works with administrative, clinical, technical, vendors, and external partners in the development and completion of project charters and statements of scope, financial estimates, timelines, action plans and task lists, resource plans, and work estimates. Identifies and manages interdependencies, resources, risks, budgets, and schedules across the enterprise projects and programs. Ensures all projects and programs are delivering value to the organization and align with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Interacts with staff, management, executives, and vendor project teams to continually communicate details regarding project status, issues, risks, milestones, and timelines. Leads and manages large, diverse and geographically dispersed project team throughout the project lifecycle to plan and execute projects. Serves as the point of contact for key internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Has the ability to develop plans starting with vague or ambiguous information. Collects, analyzes, and synthesizes data to composes clear, meaningful communications. Serve as a leader within the ePMO team. Takes the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement, creates best practices, and implements standards for a continuously evolving ePMO. Creates, presents, and implements ePMO methodology, reports, deliverables and toolsets in a constantly evolving ePMO. Works remotely or onsite as business and project needs require.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree.
  • At least ten (10) years of project management experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience managing project teams.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail and polished customer service, communication, collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and advanced skill level using Microsoft Excel.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • Healthcare industry knowledge and experience is preferred.
  • Experience with information technology (IT), medical device and equipment implementation and upgrade projects is required.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance is preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Workfront or similar project portfolio management (PPM) tools, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and/or Microsoft Visio is required.

Pay transparency:  St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law.  The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.

About the Team

St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures. 

The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women’s health, imaging and pediatrics.
