Job Description
We are looking for a Manager, Program & Project Management to join our growing team! In this role. The Manager, Program & Project Management. will be responsible for building and leading a new team focused on enhancing our network capabilities. This role will involve long-range planning, compliance management, and the strategic deployment of alternative technologies to ensure we remain competitive in a rapidly evolving industry.
Scale of Responsibility:
- Initially oversee 1-2 Analysts during the organization’s establishment.
- Firm-level responsibility for the operationalization of a multi-year network evolution effort.
- Drive the elimination of $25M in expense run-rate within the first 12 months.
The Key Responsibilities:
- Business Case Creation: Develop comprehensive business cases for network transformation initiatives, utilizing data analysis and market research to support investment and strategic decisions.
- Program and Project Management: Define and refine programs, strategies, and timelines for migrating from legacy network infrastructure to more efficient alternatives.
- Interdepartmental Ambassador: Act as a liaison across departments, fostering collaboration and communication to ensure alignment on network transformation goals with stakeholders, including Legal, Government Affairs, Operations, and other business units.
- Board and Executive Readouts: Create dashboards of key metrics and deliverables and prepare presentations for programs and projects to communicate progress and insights to the Board and executive leadership.
- Methods and Procedures: Assist in the development and ongoing management of operational methods and procedures for business units responsible for executing elements of network transformation and decommissioning efforts.
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical work experience
- Proven minimum 5 years’ experience in program and project management, particularly in network transformation or telecommunications.
- Minimum 2 years’ people management experience.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in business case development.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik Sense) to use in communicating the outputs of data models
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead cross functional teams
- Visionary thinking that is complimented by shaping and executing strategy
- Customer-centric mindset
- Ability to motivate others and work under pressure
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate via written and oral communication
- Excellent financial and budget management skills
- Strong decision-making skills coupled with the ability to lead change
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Finance, or Business Administration
- Telecom/Cable/Internet Service Provider industry experience
- Project management certifications (e.g. PMP, ITIL)
- Demonstrated practical experience in Lean Six Sigma methods and techniques
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the telecommunications industry.
