The Role

Our Opportunity:

Chewy’s Supply Chain Systems team is seeking a Manager, Program Management II to support the corporate supply chain network. We are looking for a leader and owner who will partner with senior leaders cross-functionally to oversee a portfolio of projects that influences Chewy’s supply chain future. The mission of Chewy’s Supply Chain Systems team is to investigate complex problems degrading the health of our supply chain, intake and vet big ideas, articulate clear business requirements for tech systems, and deliver business solutions to optimize the return on tech investment across Chewy Supply Chain. What You'll Do:

  • Lead a team of 3-5 Project Managers
  • Operate and Articulate at Depth
    • Ability to articulate complex ideas in written form through white papers and business requirements supported by user stories and deep understanding of current state
    • Deeply involved with the details of your team’s projects, providing frequent updates to senior stakeholders
    • Ability to pull raw data, build entitlement models, and validate assumptions
  • Deliver Results via Earning Trust
    • Ability to host effective zoom meetings with large audiences
    • Plan and act strategically to build trust with key stakeholders
    • Act as the buffer for your team with potentially difficult stakeholders
    • Keep projects on track though frequent check-ins with the project manager and leadership
    • Identify and escalate risk to project deliverables before the risk impacts the business
  • Build High Performing Teams
    • Weekly alignment on priorities and follow-up on deliverables
    • Identify development opportunities via open-ended questions to foster self-discovery
    • Provide useful developmental feedback and track results
    • Allow project managers to own their results: adjust the level of autonomy to the capability of your team members

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain, data analytics, engineering or similar
  • 2+ years of program management and/or project management experience
  • Insatiable curiosity as you’re dropped into new and unfamiliar spaces
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of leadership
  • Ability to facilitate large group discussions over zoom
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment
  • Perseverance to lead others in the face of resistance and skepticism
  • Motivated self-starter: finding defects and assuming responsibility to fix them

Bonus:

  • Operations experience
  • Prior people leadership experience
  • Program Management certification (PMP, PGMP, or similar)
  • Change management experience
  • Experience writing and presenting white papers
  • Experience with SQL and Tableau
  • E-commerce experience
