What are the Manager Products responsible for?

Product Development and Product Research: The individual will be involved in developing and evaluating new and innovative product concepts, assisting in the project management of new product enhancements, and coordinating new product introductions through the initiation, approval, and implementation processes with other departments.

Product Management and Communication: The individual will work with other functions for day-to-day product management tasks, such as fund ratings, responding to product-related sales queries, and more. They will leverage their knowledge of capital markets, products, and the mutual fund industry to provide investment analysis/insights from a marketing perspective and support responses to sales queries#MID_SENIOR_LEVEL
What are the ongoing responsibilities of Manager Products?

Investment writing for equity and fixed income segments
-
Developing communication pieces/product positioning pitches led by research and analysis to provide additional insights on product- or market-related concepts

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including global counterparts, for product communications, literature, and query resolution
-
Supporting the development and evaluation of new product concepts
-
Conducting competition analysis for product categories/product features and providing crisp recommendations.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
-
Graduate/Engineering degree with an MBA
-
CFA charter or pursuing CFA would be an advantage
-
7 - 10 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry with strong working knowledge of investment products, particularly mutual funds
-
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
-
Strong presentation skills
-
Sound understanding of financial markets and specifically the asset management industry
-
Working knowledge of equity and fixed income asset classes, along with an understanding of macroeconomic linkages in domestic and global economies
-
Solid understanding of/interest in electronic media and how to best use them to convey messages
-
Capacity to handle a high volume of activity in a fast-paced environment
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels, including senior management
-
Proven ability to manage projects successfully

Ability to work collaboratively within teams to achieve results, as well as independently with moderate supervision

Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to devise unique, out-of-the-box solutions for communication challenges

Strong knowledge of mutual fund products, operations, and regulatory issues is preferred • Integrity and a strong understanding of business ethics

Ability to work to tight deadlines and multitask effectively

Proficiency in mutual fund research tools, including CRISIL, ICRA, Morningstar, ACEMF, etc.
