As the Product Strategy Manager, you will use research, analysis, and industry insights to support the growth and evolution of Moneris' Distribution Partnerships portfolio.
You will collaborate with business leaders to identify strategic opportunities, assess market trends, evaluate competitive dynamics, and develop data-driven recommendations that influence portfolio direction.
Working across product, sales, marketing, operations, finance, legal, risk, and technology teams, you will help shape strategies that strengthen Moneris' position within the payments and commerce ecosystem while supporting exceptional partner and developer experiences.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, Product - Distribution Partnerships.
Posting Type: Replacement.
Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $155,000.
Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Strategy Development and Execution: Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives across the Distribution Partnerships portfolio, identifying opportunities to drive growth, strengthen partner relationships, and improve portfolio performance.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analyses, and industry assessments to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, risks, and competitive insights across the payments and commerce ecosystem.
Business Cases and Strategic Recommendations: Develop business cases, financial models, executive presentations, and recommendations to support investment decisions, portfolio planning, and growth strategies.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with leaders across product, technology, sales, marketing, finance, operations, legal, and risk teams to align strategic initiatives with business objectives and support successful execution.
Commercialization and Go-to-Market Strategy: Support commercialization initiatives through pricing analysis, market assessments, go-to-market planning, sales enablement, and performance measurement.
Portfolio Governance and Performance Management: Develop frameworks, metrics, governance processes, and reporting mechanisms that support strategic decision-making and portfolio management.
Voice of the Customer and Partner: Gather and assess feedback from partners, clients, internal stakeholders, and industry participants to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.
Partner and Developer Experience: Support initiatives that enhance partner and developer experiences, including onboarding, lifecycle management, APIs, self-service capabilities, operational tooling, and ecosystem enablement.
Industry Engagement and Team Development: Provide guidance to analysts and represent Moneris at industry events, conferences, strategic meetings, and partner engagements as needed.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Required skills and experience
5+ years of experience developing and executing product, portfolio, or commercialization strategies within payments, financial services, fintech, technology, consulting, or a related industry.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
Experience commercializing products and strategic initiatives, including product positioning, pricing, go-to-market planning, sales enablement, and commercialization strategy.
Experience conducting market research, developing business cases and financial models, identifying growth opportunities and risks, and presenting strategic recommendations to executive audiences.
Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving alignment across multiple teams.
Experience that would set you apart
Experience working with software platforms, payment facilitators (PayFacs), independent sales organizations (ISOs), developer ecosystems, strategic partnerships, or embedded commerce solutions.
Familiarity with APIs, developer ecosystems, and platform-based business models.
Experience working with partner onboarding, partner management, or partner lifecycle management platforms.
Bilingualism is considered an asset.
