Manager, Product Sales Specialist - Core Consumer (Instalments)
Overview
The Manager, Product Sales Specialist (BNPL) leads the execution, adoption, and optimization of Mastercard's Instalment products and solutions across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
The role reports directly into the Core Consumer Portfolio leader and works closely with Customer Solution Centre (CSC), account team, technology and global product partners. The role carries significant ownership and influence across product strategy, client solutioning, product sales and go to market execution.
We're looking for an experienced and driven Product Manager to join the Mastercard Product team in Sydney. This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of payments by building innovative payment experiences for consumers and businesses across the region.
These capabilities will serve a diverse range of stakeholders including acquirers, payment service providers, retailers, issuers, and lenders. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and execution of product strategies aligned to business goals.• Lead the design and delivery of new products and enhancements based on customer needs and market trends.• Drive all stages of the product development lifecycle-from concept through to launch- following Mastercard's New Product Development/Go-to-Market (NPD/GTM) processes.• Define and articulate compelling product value propositions.• Translate product requirements into detailed technical specifications.• Work closely with internal development teams, client-facing teams, third parties, and joint venture partners to bring products to market.• Engage directly with clients to present product solutions, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business needs-requiring strong presentation and communication skills.
All About You
• Have 6+ years related work experience, preferably in a customer facing role within Financial Services• Strong interest and passion for payments, BNPL, instalments, loyalty, card issuing, banking, financial services, and e - commerce• Previous experience and comfort presenting to senior stakeholders• Understanding of industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging payment technologies and card propositions• Awareness of the Australian payments regulatory environment and its relevance to Mastercard• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to contribute to product development• Ability to translate product capabilities into clear, customer focused value propositions• Confident using Excel and PowerPoint to support analysis, presentations, and storytelling• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build rapport across sales, product, and technology teams• Have a Bachelor's degree in commerce, marketing, economics or any engineering field - or have equivalent work experience
The following are considered desirable and advantageous:
• Previous exposure to card programs, with issuing experience considered an advantage• Previous experience to BNPL and Instalment products
