Role Overview
Mastercard helps financial institutions, fintechs and business partners bring innovative payment solutions to enterprises by working closely with issuers, fintechs, partners and merchants to drives market adoption and ecosystem growth across a portfolio of commercial payment solutions that address the needs of the business.
The Manager, Product Management, SME and Commercials will be responsible for translating regional and global product capabilities into designing, leading, and supporting relevant product enablement in Japan.
Partnering closely with sales specialists in market, the ideal candidate combines deep SME and commercial experience with strong product thinking and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders across business units, markets, and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
Pre Sales Commercialisation
- Curate market relevant sales and product enablement materials in conjunction with SME and Commercials sales leads and account teams
- Enhance Mastercard's SME business support platforms for Japan, ensuring business tools and offers are relevant
- Strengthen and tailor Mastercard product CVP in Japan to be best in market
- Develop and refine the product line strategy to support partners' portfolios
- Create and define go-to-market strategies and drive market penetration across SME segments, channel distributions, and Commercial segments
Product Feedback & Market Insights
- Collect and analyse client and market feedback related to product usability and implementation
- Provide market relevant insights to regional and/or global product teams to support product enhancement and localisation
- Identify gaps between product capabilities and market needs
Cross-functional Regional Coordination
- Collaborate with AP teams to align on product rollout, enablement, and expansion
- Partner with regional Account Management, Sales, Product, and Technology teams to support client engagements
- Ensure effective communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications Required
• Deep understanding of the payments industry serving the small and medium business and/or commercial sectors in Japan• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, and product management of complex solutions• Proven ability to design, deploy, and scale product adoption and sales revenue enablement• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication• Native fluency in Japanese and fluent in English
