Summary:


Each Shoals product line is managed by a Product Line Manager who is responsible for growing both revenue and profit through strategically leading a technical, rapidly changing, multi-channel category. The Product Line Manager, International is specifically responsible for delivering product solutions for markets in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific, a key growth market This role will include matrix management of cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and finance. The position reports to the Director Product Line Management - Solar.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Product development ownership of the Solar product line delivering solutions for Utility-scale Solar
  • Grow and maintain market share - lead on new product introduction (NPI) and expansion in Solar markets beyond Utility-scale
  • In concert with marketing, develop the appropriate marketing messaging by channel that highlights the value propositions and superiority claims of assigned products
  • Develops and updates 3-year Product Business Plan including top-line revenue, market share, product development, gross margin, operating income, and strategies for achievement
  • Develops and updates 5-year Product Roadmap, including new product development, research opportunities, acquisitions, and product rationalization; ties to 3-year Product Business Plan
  • Represents Shoals to the industry as the expert for all aspects of the utility scale solar product line
  • Become the product line "Voice of the Customer" representative for internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to develop plans to maximize revenue, profit, and market share
  • Monitor market and competitors' product technology changes, recognizing opportunities for new and expanding products
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of successfully launching and managing products in collaboration with marketing, sales, engineering, and operations business functions
  • Demonstrated experience reporting comprehensive business performance, market segmentation analysis, and market trends
  • Background in developing multi-year business plans and product roadmaps
  • Experience with product portfolio pricing and forecasting
  • History of new product idea generation through market launch in disciplined phase-gate or equivalent process
  • Experience collaborating with marketing departments to develop product portfolio collateral and programs including advertising, literature, and trade shows
  • Track record of translating Voice of Customer (VoC) into product requirements
  • Strong business analysis, data analytics and reporting skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present and communicate clearly to sales, customers, and executive/leadership teams.
  • Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBi, SalesForce

 

Education:

B.S. degree, MBA preferred

 

TRAVEL

  • Requires 25%-35% travel. This includes travel to Shoals manufacturing facilities, customers, trade shows and strategic suppliers throughout the country.
