Title and Summary
Manager, Product Experience Design
⦿ Who we are
Foundry is Mastercard's innovation engine. In Latin America and the Caribbean, we're focused on shaping the future of commerce by building what's next-faster and smarter.
We operate at the intersection of:
• Product Excellence - accelerating new products from idea to launch • Innovation Culture - embedding experimentation and continuous learning into how we work • Strategic Partnerships - collaborating with fintechs, startups, and customers to co-create value
Foundry LAC is hands-on, fast-moving, and impact-driven. We're not here to do innovation theatre-we're here to build, scale, and lead. And we're looking for someone who wants to do the same from the inside out.
⦿ About the Role
We're hiring a Manager, Product Experience Designer to lead how Mastercard uses design thinking, storytelling, and concepting to strengthen our position with customers across Latin America.
This is a strategic, customer-facing role that blends design leadership with commercial impact. You will own the regional design-thinking approach, lead high-stakes customer engagements, and create concept materials and prototypes that influence decisions and shape deal outcomes.
You won't be building production interfaces. You'll be shaping visions, running structured ideation with customers, and crafting the narratives Mastercard uses to win RFPs, validate opportunities, and position ourselves as the innovation partner of choice.
⦿ What You'll Do
• Own the Design Thinking Discipline for LAC:
- Define the regional design thinking methodology and ensure consistent use across markets.
- Develop reusable frameworks, playbooks, and templates for workshops, storytelling, and concepting.
- Raise the bar for how Mastercard communicates product possibilities with customers.
• Lead Customer-Facing Innovation Engagements:
- Plan and run end-to-end design thinking sessions with priority customers, including banks, fintechs, merchants, and partners.
- Facilitate problem framing, opportunity mapping, and ideation aligned to Mastercard's capabilities.
- Directly influence customer strategy and shape how Mastercard is perceived in senior conversations.
• Create Strategic Concept Prototypes:
- Build concept narratives, visual boards, and prototypes to articulate new product ideas clearly and convincingly.
- Translate workshop insights into concepts that accelerate internal alignment and customer decisions.
- Ensure every concept reflects LAC market realities and strengthens Mastercard's commercial positioning.
• Strengthen RFP and Deal Positioning:
- Shape experience concepts used in RFP responses, customer pitches, and strategic proposals.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Advisors to align on the storyline, design artifacts, and value framing.
- Use design to simplify complexity and increase the likelihood of deal wins.
• Drive Cross-Functional Alignment Across the Region:
- Work with Product, Delivery, Advisors, Engineering, Start Path, and Market teams to converge on clear concept directions.
- Influence senior stakeholders through crisp visual communication and structured decision framing.
- Ensure that design thinking outputs translate into actionable next steps for product and commercial teams.
⦿ Who You Are
• 8+ years in experience design, service design, innovation consulting, or concept development. • Strong visual storytelling skills; you create clear, compelling journeys, storyboards, and prototypes. • Experienced facilitator able to lead design thinking sessions with senior stakeholders and customers. • Skilled in Design Thinking and comfortable guiding teams from problem framing to concept definition. • Able to produce and iterate concept artifacts: journeys, opportunity maps, low/high-fidelity prototypes, and narrative visuals. • Proficient in Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD and similar tools for rapid ideation and visual communication. • Fluent in emerging AI tools for visualization, prototyping, and accelerating concept development. • Able to simplify complex topics and turn them into customer-ready concepts that strengthen Mastercard's positioning in RFPs and pitches. • Comfortable working on complex, cross-functional projects and bringing clarity to ambiguity. • Strong communicator with proven ability to influence decisions through structured storytelling.
