Dallas, TX/Phoenix, AZJob Summary:The Contracts Manager is a senior individual contributor and member of the Project Execution and Procurement groups. The Contracts Manager reports to the VP of Procurement and will focus on leading the drafting and negotiation of EPC services contracts and related exhibits. As a member of the Project Execution and Procurement teams, the Contracts Manager works closely cross functionally with legal counsel and subject matter experts to drive contract negotiations to close efficiently, while balancing commercial, legal, and execution priorities and achieving consistency with corporate commercial and risk management guidelines.
Responsibilities:Lead contract negotiations with EPC service providers to support construction of Leeward’s wind, solar, and/or battery projects
Collaborate with Pre-Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Legal, and other SMEs to define contract requirements, align with technical specs and schedules, and ensure proper contractual procedures are followed in the procurement process.
Review, redline, negotiate and draft contractual language using legal, commercial, and technical inputs
Responsible for the implementation of Company policies and standards into contracts for assigned projects
Ensure quality and safety are key aspects of contractual terms and conditions
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
Maintain understanding of the market including current pricing and key terms and conditions provisions
Provide updates to senior staff on contractual risks associated with each respective contract or counterparty along with mitigation recommendations
Bachelors degree in a related field
3-5+ years of experience negotiating EPC agreements
Experience working in an energy industry, renewable energy highly preferred
Detail oriented with a demonstrated high level of organization
Demonstrate excellent intrapersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge of EPC contracts and inherent contractual risks
Able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced business environment
Self-starter who can take the initiative and work independently to drive the process to a conclusion
Physical Demands:
- Position will require sitting for long periods of time as well as occasionally lifting up to twenty-pound boxes.
