What You’ll Do
- Lead procurement and materials strategy in support of commercial engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations.
- Direct macro-level inventory planning and scheduling aligned to business plans, customer demand, material availability, and forecasted sales volumes.
- Provide day-to-day leadership for materials and procurement operations, including production planning, resource allocation, cost control, and overtime authorization.
- Oversee inventory control activities, balancing cost, quality, and delivery while supporting procurement decision analysis and inventory management systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to inventory costing and valuation processes; maintain accurate inventory costing data within enterprise systems.
- Manage and report on enterprise inventory health, including aging analysis and identification of surplus or excess material for disposition.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to identify trends, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve supply chain and procurement policies, procedures, and quality systems in support of corporate objectives.
- Partner closely with operations, engineering, quality, finance, and leadership teams to ensure production goals and service commitments are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
- Lead domestic and international logistics strategy, including shipping materials between sites and to customers.
- Identify and implement initiatives to reduce transportation and logistics costs.
- Negotiate carrier contracts, freight rates, and service agreements; audit and approve freight invoices.
- Set performance goals for logistics and procurement teams and evaluate effectiveness through cost and service analyses.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive supply chain and/or procurement experience, preferably within aviation or complex manufacturing environments.
- 4+ years of proven people leadership experience.
Desired Skills
- Aviation-related procurement experience strongly preferred; commercial engine MRO experience is a plus.
