As a Procurement Programs Manager at Airbnb, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic team. You will be responsible for managing our supplier sustainability program and leading the transformation of our supplier onboarding and risk management programs. Your role will involve close collaboration with key cross-functional partners, including 21C, Finance Technology Group, Procurement, Ethics & Compliance, and various business units. The Difference You Will Make
In this exciting role, you will have a dual responsibility to manage the supplier sustainability and supplier risk management programs. You will spearhead efforts to drive sustainability within Airbnb's supply base, focusing on reducing scope 3 emissions and supporting our corporate net zero commitment. Your success will be measured by your ability to engage stakeholders and suppliers, fostering collaboration and achieving year-over-year reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, as the program manager for supplier risk management, you will provide strategic guidance and contribute to the development and management of procurement initiatives. This includes optimizing supplier onboarding processes, implementing effective supplier risk oversight measures, and establishing preferred supplier programs. In this role, you will measure your impact by developing process improvement recommendations based on your deep understanding of current procurement practices. You will enhance the supplier experience by executing transformational initiatives, aligning it with stakeholders' business needs while mitigating risk for Airbnb.
A Typical Day
- Play a key role in supporting Airbnb's corporate net zero goals by collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders to capture supplier commitment to measuring, reporting, and reducing supplier emissions.
- Establish strong supplier relationships to help suppliers advance their sustainability work.
- Monitor the compliance of suppliers to ensure they are making progress towards meeting their commitments to Airbnb.
- Own overall supplier sustainability program metric tracking/ reporting.
- Provide valuable support and guidance to suppliers, helping them enhance their maturity and capabilities to ensure they formalize their commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand the requirements of the supplier management program and identify opportunities for system and operational enhancements. Contribute to improving the supplier experience and strengthening due diligence efforts.
- Perform project management responsibilities, including supporting the implementation of new tools and systems. Coordinate work efforts across projects and multiple stakeholder groups, such as Compliance and Information Security, ensuring seamless integration.
- Continuously elevate the entire lifecycle of supplier relationships, from onboarding to termination, by implementing best practices and refining processes.
Your Expertise
- 8-10 years of experience managing procurement programs and/or leading supplier sustainability programs.
- Passionate about sustainability, with a strong background in developing sustainability programs and driving compliance within the supply base.
- Well-versed in supplier onboarding and risk management tools and processes, with expertise in implementing enterprise-wide systems.
- Skilled in building relationships in a cross-functional environment and proven success in influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly analytical, with strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence up, down, and across the organization.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
