Purpose of the Role:
Our team is growing, and we are looking for an energetic Manager, Private Wealth - Associates to join our existing team of Managers to lead, develop, and coach a team of professionals that deliver exceptional client service. The Wealth Planning Associate (WPA) team provides a high degree of support and expertise to our Wealth Advisory Team. Your role will be to ensure the WPA team is engaged with a growth mindset and able to service our clients with a consistent high level of service. This role reports to the Vice President, Private Wealth – Associates and Operations. The location will be a hybrid of work from home and an in-office environment, based in our Toronto office.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a group of Wealth Planning Associates to ensure service delivery excellence, and foster team engagement with personal and professional growth:

- Recruitment: manage the hiring process and ensure adequate resourcing requirements of the team.
- Performance Management: Actively manage WPA performance including establishing and monitoring clear goals and KPI’s, facilitating regular and consistent feedback, developing and executing performance improvement plans when required.
- Talent Development: work closely with the team on in-role and career development goals; engage with advisors to ensure goals are aligned to Wealth Advisory Team business goals.
- Community and Culture: build and cultivate a strong and supportive diverse team with a focus on employee engagement and experience.
- Leadership: Contribute to the success of the Private Wealth business through strong leadership and collaboration with other leaders within Private Wealth and across the firm, both in the Toronto office and other locations.
- Operationally, manage the WPAs, including oversight of day-to-day activities and collaborate with the WPA leadership team to ensure defined processes are followed:

- Improve processes and productivity by reviewing and analyzing our current processes and procedures; identify opportunities to improve and collaborate with other department leads who will be impacted to co-create process changes and implement them.
- Document escalations, review and analyze and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Review procedure manuals and/or reference materials and work with relevant stakeholders to keep them up to date.
- Handle escalated client service issues and resolve them in a positive and timely manner.
- Manage requests for vacation and overtime approvals.
- Collaborate with Wealth Advisors, the Vice President, Private Wealth - Associates and Operations and other key stakeholders within Private Wealth to ensure that all business needs are being met.
- Other relevant and related responsibilities, as assigned and as the needs of the organization change.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in related work experience within the financial services industry is required.
- A minimum of 5 years’ Leadership/Management experience is required.
- A good working knowledge of financial planning strategies and concepts.
- Inspires a drive for operational excellence and team success.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively manage and influence multiple stakeholders.
- Able to successfully work and deliver results in a matrixed organization.
- Highly effective coaching skills to support team member performance and development.
- Strong track record of delivering results at a high performing, service-oriented capacity.
- Superior client service orientation both internally and externally.
- Resilient and calm under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience leading a large team in a high-performance environment is preferred
- Approachable, engaging, active listener and supportive.
- Superior attention to detail and follow through.
- Able to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Thrives in a dynamic and fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Advanced MS Word, Excel Outlook and CRM skills. Experience with other productivity, reporting, and resource management tools is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits Package:
This position comes with a base salary range of $100,000 - $130,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
