Job Description
Provide Pre-press operation to provide high-quality printing plates & files to the production team. Directly manage 40 headcount staff. (Including Assistant Manager, Snr Executives, Officers & Production Shop floor blue collar staff)

Manage and accept responsibility on a daily basis for all assigned personnel as they perform production-related tasks.

Ensure proper equipment maintenance as related to safety, productivity, quality, and service by leading the development and implementation of appropriate P.M. procedures and documentation to verify conformance.

Conduct periodic internal audits to verify conformance, procedures, and mandates. Take timely and appropriate corrective action to satisfy deviations found in audits.

Develop and implement training programs to upgrade the skills of department associates, particularly those in entry-level positions.

Work with Quality Assurance to ensure that quality products are produced on a consistent basis.

Determine staffing requirements weekly and re-deploy resources during the week as needed to address any shifting manning needs or changes in priorities and scheduling.

Using TQM principles, form teams and involve people to improve productivity, decrease lead times, and attain customer quality requirements.

Include safety considerations in monthly/weekly department meetings to raise awareness of people to perform their tasks in a consistently safe manner. Make sure that all safety rules are followed, accompanied by good housekeeping complemented by the supervision of Utility people.

Develop annual expense budgets (AOP), which accurately reflect costs and potential cost reductions in the future.

Recommend and initiate cost reduction programs centered around capital improvements where ROI and payback criteria are favorable.

Manage operating budgets in assigned area(s) of responsibility and insure that expenses are incurred at acceptable levels and be prepared to explain any variances along with appropriate corrective actions.

Develop specifications and process capability criteria as required by working closely with Tech Services, Manufacturing and Development Engineering.

Look after all the Prepress plate room technical and software machinery issues and give internal & external solutions.

Close monitor & give solutions on Prepress Apple OS/ Windows servers - RIP (Raster Image software’s) and Apple workstation Application SW, hardware and software issues. As well as future plan on software migrations without impacting production and business.

Communicate and give solutions on Product development team, Offset/ Digital, PFL, HTL & Flexo production and development Queries.

Most importantly, Make strategic plans on current & upcoming RB’s business preparation on data communication & RB onboard plans for layout & production methods by utilizing internal capacities.

Check and decision making on plate making raw materials without impacting business.

Run savings projects throughout the year & ensure profitability business maintain with running RB’s by ensuring proper utilization of Design concepts.

Maintain RIR as Zero level
Qualifications
-
University degree or Major in printing engineering, packaging or related

10+ years experiences in managing Prepress and technical team

Prefer candidates with good command of prepress and plate making techniques

Good communication skills and capable to work independently

Proficient in Spoken, Reading and writing English

Proficient in Apple OS and PC operation

Good command of teamwork spirit, open-minded, self-motivated and self-disciplined;

Good problem analyzing skill to identify the improvement opportunity on production /process;

Provide professional support to solve production problems and give professional suggestions for production projects.
