Job DescriptionResponsible and accountable for the SIL Personal Lines product offering in respect of
Leadership: To provide strategic, operational, and tactical leadership in growing income and profitability of the allocated Personal lines Portfolio
3rd Party Portfolio strategy formulation and execution to drive growth and profitability
Product Cycle Management: End-to-end product cycle management
Oversight of Underwriting Governance and profitability management
Strategic and operational stakeholder engagements
Channel management and oversight (internal broker/bank and 3rd party channels/partnerships) including business process oversight of mandated 3rd parties (binder and outsourced functions)
Providing input into SIL reinsurance renewal planning and preparations
Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study: Business Certification :An Insurance qualification accreditation (AIISA/ACII/FIISA/FCII)
Fais Compliant: KI Readiness Requirements (Must be ready to be appointed a KI if needed)
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar managerial role in the short-term insurance industry (specifically in product management with exposure to prior experience in the above key responsibilities) Knowledge of short-term insurance, especially Personal Lines products
Knowledge of regulatory, and compliance requirements for short-term insurance
Knowledge of short-term insurance value chain and related ecosystems.
General knowledge of the economic environment.
